This is a 7 rounds mock draft with trades and UFA/RFA signings.
This is usually a three-weeks commitment that requires you to check the thread daily. Do not sign up if you cannot commit to this. Two auto's and you will be placed on auto-pick.
Order: We will use the authentic draft order as of the phase two NHL draft lottery. (Capfriendly was use as reference)
Draft: The draft clock will run from 8 a.m. to Midnight ET. Each pick will be 4-hours long. Once time is up on a pick, anyone can auto the pick. After you pick, please PM the next GM to notify them and tag them on your post! If you cannot PM for whatever reason (i.e. on a phone), ask someone to do it for you in your post.
We auto 3 North Americans, then 1 European, from NHL Central Scouting's Final Rankings list. Goaltenders are NOT auto'd. Before any more picks are made, the GM can change the auto pick and not be charged with an auto. However, all auto picks are final once the next pick is made. No exceptions. Everyone can auto-pick.
Trades: All trades must be salary cap compliant. The NHL has reported that the 2020-21 salary cap is likely to remain flat, so the salary cap will be $81.5M and the floor will be $60.2M. Traded picks are limited to 2020, 2021, and 2022. Either GM can post the trade on the thread, but I need the other to confirm it.
NOTE 1: We will try as much as possible to respect the NMC/NTC, but if the a trade involving a player with a NMC/NTC makes sens (location, team, role,...), we can waive NTC/NMC, if not the deal gets vetoed. If you have such a trade is in progress, feel free to PM me to approve the trade before hand.
NOTE 2: No trade can involve more than SIX pieces on a side, or TEN pieces total. Also, if any player gets traded who absolutely wouldn't, the deal also gets vetoed automatically.
Free Agency: You may NOT sign any pending UFA's (this includes Group 6 UFA's). Following the draft, there will be a UFA signing period. All UFA's are assumed to want to test free agency (this does not mean they won't re-sign with their old team). I will act as Universal Player Agent and weigh the role and salary offered from each team. Please list all non-qualified RFA's on your roster post.
Before the UFA market starts, if any RFA are not signed, offersheets will be possible. Which means you can sign your own RFA at any point. Also if the contract is really off in value, I'll notice you to change it.
There is NO compliance buyout this time around.
Rosters: Before the beginning of the draft you need to put up your Roster/Depth Chart with Cap Status. Update it after each trade, signing or modifictaion. You Final roster must include at least 22 players and respect the Cap.
Please, do not make trades until all teams have a GM.
You are more than welcome to explain your pick selection and to describe the player.
You are more than welcome to make press conference about your transactions, signatures,…
Maximum of 12 invites to camp after the draft.
If you can take 2 teams go ahead!
It is possible (not suggested) to trade between two teams with the same GM.
Just run the trade by me first. It needs to be fair value for both team and realistic, otherwise it won't be approve.
