So many of us were derided for saying it would be under 12M, which was obviously too high. This isn't the 9.5 that I had hoped for, but I'm very, very happy with this deal.

I hope Carey has some insights into what this organization is going to do IMMEDIATELY to make this worth it.

Price has the same cap hit as Conn Smythe winners and all the best players in the league who have proven they were big time playoffs performers without having done so. This deal is only good if Price has numerous elite level playoffs in the next 5 years. At least 3 at a much higher level than what we just saw in these playoffs because THAT was nowhere near worth 10.5M. Not even freakin' close. Investing that much into the goaltender position is a fail.
