I think he is going through what Henrik Lundquist went through with the Rangers, he is upset he wasted his prime with a sub par team.
Is this sarcasm or a dig at Henrik/Rangers? One of the most successful teams in terms of regular season (top 5 in wins) and playoff appearances/ wins in the last 5-6 years. Stanley cup appearance, 2 eastern conference finals (one playing in game 7 against TB with 3 healthy defenseman) over last 5 years. Yep a total waste and sub par team.
Oh yeah 7 consecutive years playoff appearances (should be 12 consectutive seasons had not missed by 1 freaking point on shootout loss on last game of year vs flyers)

Without Lundquist they are out first round every year if they made the playoffs at all.

Lol Hank can be a giant baby from time to time. He's an emotional guy and sometimes the reactions are warranted. But he has never done or said anything that would make one believe this is remotely true. He had his chance to leave if he wanted a few years back.

He's also largely to blame for last year's playoff loss against Ottawa. Gave up a crap goal to lose Game 1 and 6 goals in Game 2. Then his team came home and played two perfect games to get back in the series. Maybe the two only playoff wins of the Lundqvist era that he wasn't the #1, #2 and #3 stars since the Atlanta beatdown.

The floor was his in Game 5. To do what franchise players are supposed to do and come through when their team needs him most. Instead he blows multiple two goal leads and well that was that.

I mean you have to know the media if you're an NHL vet, but how would you feel if someone asked you "Are you unhappy with the loss?" It's a typical question, but c'mon, what the hell do you think?

Probably just frustrated and taking it out by being passive aggressive.

Yeah Pretty much. Lundqvist had his chance to leave NY if he really wanted to. But c'mon. Other than the no Cup thing Lundqvist has it better than most athletes, especially those in NYC.

Whatever that quote from the Dark Knight is is so true. We've seen it so many times with how quickly the fans and the media can turn on guys in this market.

Matt Harvey was once the savior but now he's pretty much the butt end of every joke on the airwaves.

Hank is the only superstar to really survive the wrath of the NY media and fanbase. Other than Eli but he's too aloof to do anything to piss you off

Same thing with Price. If he truly felt that he was wasting his time in Montreal, he wouldn't have extended there a year out from free agency. He would have at least tested the market.

These guys have so much pride they want to be part of the solution instead of running away from a problem.

If he was so concerned with winning he wouldn't have signed an unmovable contract extension with an avg team. He could have walked as a UFA and signed with a team with a much better chance. He has nobody to blame but himself.

And if Price was on the Rangers they would have probably gone very deep into the playoffs as well so whats your point?. You said they were a subpar team. I don't see how you can say that. Its totally wrong.
Not diminishing Hank at all but with Cam Talbot (33-15) and Raanta (27-14) they had superb records. Far far from subpar but believe what you want

Right he totally wasted his career in new york on a crappy team ok lol.
Would have much been better off with a team that missed the playoffs 10 out of 11 seasons

And it's not like other superstars not named Crosby, Malkin, Toews, Kane, Doughty and friends fared much better.

Even the great Martin Brodeur failed to win a Cup in the post lockout era once the game drastically changed.

Carey Price était peu bavard après la défaite - TVA Sports

This interview has created a lot of uproar in the Montreal media due to his responses after the loss. When asked if he is unhappy with the loss he said no a loss is a loss and he just had fun and laughed at the reporters questions.

Is he done with the media? Unhappy with the way the team is going?

lmao you're trying to create something out of nothing.

He just didn't want to talk about the loss, and focused instead on the event and the nice experience it was.

Nothing to see here...
