Do we even know where he's going? The Hurricanes don't have an ahl affiliate and currently have players on loan to a number of different minor league teams.

New Jersey, to sit in the press box.

He’s #7 on the depth chart after the organization chose not acquire a veteran NHL defenseman at the deadline. He’s dressing in a playoff game(s), in the event of injury on defense.

He was no risk of being claimed at his number and the Canes needed the temporary flexibility. That was the real point here. Carolina didn’t have waivers-exempt young players.

Look I wouldn't want him in a top4 role but he's not a horrible specialist. Just don't miss play him and he can be successful. When Pesce was down and Chatfield recently he played well.

Then God help the Canes if somebody who actually knows how to play defence gets injured.
You mean like what’s already happened? He’s been filling in for injuries, and been doing a good job of it. Waiving him was a paper move to make room for potential trades. They already knew no one was going to take him for free on waivers, they’d already offered him around with a pick attached.

I love reading how he is a noted locker room cancer. Its pretty funny actually that many if his Ranger team mates are great friends of his and even invited him to weddings and everyone he has been a team mate with in Carolina think he's a great team mate.
speaks more about the toxicity of hockey locker rooms if a guy like de angelo is appreciated there

He loves his wannabe dictators, will feel right at home

Yeah, because your opinion based on anecdotal and unproven incidents surely should outweigh the opinion of those around him constantly.

And there's the real reason. You like most others label him a POS because you hate his politics. Get a life. Not everyone thinks the same and people like you ensures the divide will always remain.

I think there might be just one locker room in the world that can keep his calm. I fully believe TDA is a better person in that locker room and easier to like.

Yeah I'm a horrible person for hating the far right. "Anecdotal and unproven incidents" he was suspended for.

hate to break it to you but 95% of hockey players share the same values as Tony DeAngelo. Its a sport for the wealthy and privileged. Fans and players alike heavily lean conservative/right wing.

In Vancouver we had Connor Garland demand a trade because Vancouver is too socially liberal for him lol

Or maybe most people judge him based on his actions they have seen and not words he said.

Thats generally what you are supposed to do.. Judge how someone acts and not on what they say.. Or is this different in N. Carolina?

Yes, homophobia, sexism and/or racism isn't what's divides us! It's not accepting those who hold homophobic, sexist and/or racist values that creates the divide!
