Yea this team has no speed and it shows. last to the puck on every battle. Every team in the league is owning us, even the shitty ones. They're quicker, faster and can maintain possession.

One iota of pressure on our players and we're toast.. playing defense for a good chunk of the game with slow players.

oh and backstrom looks done.

I don't really know what you guys are talking about. Backstrom looks like himself, not particularly fast but he always makes a good pass with his great vision. The only substantial difference is there is no PP to get points on.

He looked slow last year, and the year before. It's been awhile since Backstrom could separate himself from anybody.

So the trick to getting shots on the PP is to be completely inept at ES. Got it.

And our defensive strategy is trash too.. i've never seen a defense like ours where theyd rather fall back and skate in circles and go hide behind the net everytime.. Maybe its because no one's getting open up ice.

Get that speed back and we'll be fine. Just tell Oshie/Backstrom/Eller/Carlson to just sit in the press box for a while.
