Martinook is a penalty killer, period.
He reminds me of Stalberg

Just the Tip .... (referring to Methot)To hear the Caps announcers you'd think he had anally violated him
A couple 2nd intermission thoughts:
- McLovin needs to be a regular on this team. He brings all the energy of Nordstrom, but with an actual offensive presence
- Would love to see more of the Zykov - Aho - Svech going forward. I can totally see Zykov being the Tlusty-type compliment to our two most talented forwards.
- Necas can FLY
- Hamilton can SHOOT
- De Haan - Faulk pairing doesn't look great
- Can't knock Mrazek too much since he's only let in 1 goal, but he's looked a bit shaky to me. Similar to Darling the other day, he's looked out of position on plays where the shot just didn't get through. Still my choice for Day 1 starter.
I'm going to guess they were equal? I don't recall any team playing a man down by choice. They just flashed an intermission stats package that showed shots, PP TOI, etc. They included a line to show the EV TOI for each team. Someone probably needs to think that one through.
What are you like 3 minutes ahead?Mrazek finishes 9/10
Ned in for the third

I heart Foegele, too. I just worry that it's too early in his career to pigeon-hole him as a fourth liner. I can see a scenario where he gets second line and power play time in Charlotte and develops into a middle-6 guy. Plus ... so many rookies (Svech, Necas, Zykov) ... I'm just worried.
As for the de Haan/Faulk pairing, I think it's almost goes without saying that any issues with a blank-Faulk pairing is the Faulk part. I really hope Justin gets something going long enough for us to trade him.
And I'm *still* not talking about the goaltending, but let me just say that I think "pretty" is a little too high a bar for us this season. "Shaky but OK" sounds like a more reasonable goal.
I have ESP.What are you like 3 minutes ahead?
Like I mentioned earlier, if Foegele loses a spot to Martinook I’m cracking skulls. He belongs in the bigs, he’s the closest thing we have to what brindy would want for “culture change”.
