The problem with Necas/Svech isn't their youth, I dont think. The real problem is they want Necas to be 3C and Svech at 1W. So together, you're overslotting one, or underslotting the other.

The only viable choices I see are continuing with Aho and deal with whatever growing pains there are, or make a trade or waiver claim. If they go the trade route, I don't see anyone nearly as big as Duchene. I don't think Wallmark or Martinook can handle what we need.

They may not have all the tools yet to make the playoffs (again), but I think we're going to surprise more than a few teams with the work ethic.

Faulk is hinting at being much improved over last season. Kind of like Darling, you can't imagine them being any worse. Only one way to go.

Quite a fun game. The defense looks like the real deal. Necas' skating and stickhandling is disgusting. Zykov is promising, I never saw skating as an issue. Foegele is a complete monster.

Zykov's skating issue was overblown. More a snowball of "I heard he can't skate" than anything.

Anyone old enough to remember Ray Sheppard? Skated like he was wearing cinder blocks on his feet. By the time he got to Carolina, he still had great hands, but his legs were shot.

Just don't offer Cagguila or Kassian as part of a deal for Faulk and you should be fine. If you do, I'm sure the board will quickly retract all those likes.
