Agreed. As a rookie he's physical along the boards and he has a shoot first mentality, and not the stupid selective shooting that a lot of the other players have been showing/being coached to do so. I think what Carbs has done in his first season as coach is very positive, but he's made rookie coach mistakes for sure. One of them being taking shots on goal. Screw the metrics and shoot the damn puck from all over the ice in the offensive zone! It's very simple hockey basics that when you are struggling to score goals, you shoot the puck more and not attempt selective shots that may/may not reach the net!
