Feels like the season will be all but over if they don’t win this game. Win this game and they’re back in WC2 with full control over how the season ends with five games remaining. Lose and they’ve exhausted all of their games in hand and will be trailing the Pens and Islanders for M3 and WC2.

On the other hand, if they lose tonight they’d be currently drafting 13OA with a chance to move to 11th or 10th depending on how the final five games go.

I think the 9th-10th pick is still in sight but it would take a miracle or lottery win to get any higher in the draft order. Wish we would have committed harder to the tank at the deadline. Could have easily gotten into the 5-8 range with a way better shot at the lottery and a great chance to draft a replacement for Carlson.

I won’t blame anyone, the front office made the right decisions and got rid of the right guys to set up cap space moving forward. The fact that the team got hot for a bit is well…. Props to them.
