Really liked what I saw against the Jets..It was just a matter of time before the talent on the team, got itself untracked..I think they have a good chance of winning in Montreal (who came out of the gate at the start of the season, firing on all cylinders).

Team is fun to watch right now.

I'd settle for a split in the series.

Hopefully we get to see a bit more Hog magic against the Habs...Horvat must be happy to finally stop the 'revolving door winger' syndrome.

Even as the Hog was getting crosschecked by the Jet player last game...He was grinning..He's a gamer.

I wonder if we will resign Pearson at the end of the season. I imagine not, and hes not the perfect 2nd liner as hes inconsistent, but he has mostly worked well with Bo on the 2nd line sometimes contributing in BIG ways

I'd only sign Pearson if we could get him on a 3.5x2 or something. If he wants term or above 4, I'd likely move on.

I definitely don't mind spending cheap(er) at that 2/3LW (depending on how Podkolzin looks, he'd certainly be somewhat of a luxury on the third line) spot if it means we can allocate our cap elsewhere. It doesn't strike me as a pressing need, especially if Hoglander continues to establish himself.

People want to tear Pearson down or big him up depending on their perspective, but when you watch him play ... he's just a pretty good 2nd line winger who tends to win most puck battles and make smart plays. He's never going to blow a game open or be the best forward on the ice. He wouldn't be on every team's 2nd line either, but if he is, it might be fine depending on the structure of your team.

When does Hog get his chance on the top PP unit? if they aren't gonna use Boeser's shot, Hog might be a better fit in that spot

Boeser’s been distributing the puck really well, and the wrinkle he added with his jam play goal on Murray was a nice one, too. I don’t see any changes coming to the top unit anytime soon.

Here’s hoping we can exact some revenge. Hopefully the Canucks can build off what they did last night in Winnipeg. I think that team has a good shot of beating the Habs.

Can we play a tight defensive game, like the last two periods of the 4-1 win? IMo our goalie will need to be fantastic again. We could have lost last night’s game in the first period if not for Demko.

Which brings us to - who gets the start tomorrow?

IMO, it should be Demko. He was excellent last night; then Holtby gets the second half of the back to back, and Demko is ready for Toronto.
