You seem really confused. You're the one who says there's nothing wrong with selling futures. Not me.
You are the own who thinks Jim knows what he's doing and supports him when he deals futures for rentals.

You are the own who... supports... deal[ing] futures for rentals.
There is nothing wrong with selling futures on a team about to tank.....
Finally took you long enough to work that out.

Boeser Markstrom top prospect

rental Lucic
Gudbranson for Demers
Go on admit it, you love it when Benning trades away futures. If you didn't you would support him for it.
Are you making trade proposals? There is another thread for that.
They already proved that these were on the table. They gave you links. You should stop it.

Speculation is not proof. Is thst really so hard to understand?

That Gudbranson rumour is speculation, although from quality sources.
That we made a futures package offer for Lucic is flat-out fact, confirmed straight from the mouth of Benning. We don't know what the package was, but we know that he thought it was better than a #1 pick and a top young goalie.
Benning made an offer for Lucic. That is fact. But like you said, we don't know what the package was. That is a fact. Some poster(s) here is passing off a specific trade as if that was the package offered up when like you said they couldn't possibly have known.
All we know is that there was an offer and Benning thought that his package was better than LA's. That could be anything. Besides, Benning was very likely wrong there. Not only was LA's 1st round pick significantly higher than what we could have offered, Martin Jones was worth more than any prospect the Canucks could have offered outside of Virtanen. Plus we know that he was trying to trade Lack and not Markstrom at the time, so it's curious that Markstrom is the name included in the deal and not Lack.
