- Pullijarvi has fallen out of favour with Chiarelli at times
- Tanev is one of the best defensive defense men in the league
- Edmonton needs a top 9 winger

Edmonton didn't trade Barzal and Beauvilier for Reinhart. They traded picks that ended up being those players.

Ah, the old ‘Chiarelli is stupid and makes terrible trades’ argument.

We already have Larsson, who I think is better than Tanev. At very least he’s comparable, plays the same style (except more physically), is younger, signed for longer, and is much more durable.

Puljujarvi just went 4th overall and had almost as many goals at 19 as Granlund did points at 24. Granlund *might* get you a third round pick if you’re lucky.

Your trade is brutally, abysmally bad for Edmonton and you have no defense for it other than ‘buh Chiarelli’.

mas over payment by the Oilers--we have had this sort of offer before--Tanev maybe the nucks number 1 d--that does not make him the number 1 d on other teams--on most teams he is a number 2 D at best..

name legit number 1 D who only get 2 to 4 goals a year and add maybe 10 assists a year and that is before we get into his injury history

I don't frequent the trade forums much, but this is one of the worst suggestions I've seen...

You want to get back Puljujarvi and a top 10 draft pick for a 28 year old D-man that scores about 10 points in 50 games a year and makes 4.5 million per year and a RFA forward at the age of 25 who has the potential to be a "3rd" line forward..

Sorry, I don't see the Oilers being too interested...

I wouldn't for Puljujarvi. We are fine on RW prospects. If there's a Tanev trade we need defensive prospects back preferably RHD. I'd do it for the 10th OV easily though.
