We would like anything positive arriving in Utica. The current roster is like one of Benning's creations in the in Vancouver's last years in Utica. Is Johnson a good AHL piece?
raty+2nd for toffoli?I agree. I was talking to a Devils fan and he said a 2nd rounder and a prospect would do. He suggested D Elias Pettersson but we all know Petey the 2nd is next to untouchable.
Toffoli would be a great target though.
Then sign Tanev July 1st and most of Bennings f***ups will be fixed.
I am a big fan of talent, and guys that have been to the top of the mountain. Give me Jake all day, we can fill other roster spots with size if needed later on.I’m increasingly against a Guentzel. Looking at the current make up of our top 6, we need a bigger body playdriver like a Buchnevich
It would cost us HogI’d be curious what the package will look like without Willander/Lekkerimaki.
2025 1st, D Petey, Podkolzin, Raty? Idk if that gets it done.
I have posted a few times about this. Rangers for Schnider and KK or Laff is something I would do. Gets us some roster players for next yearAnyone else get the feeling that Lindholm could be flipped before the deadline, especially if they have eyes on Guentzel? If any management group would make a quick transition like that, it’s a JR led group.
In a heartbeat.Would you trade 2025 1st rounder (top 5 protected) and Hoglander for Pavel Buchnevich?
I’m totally okay with Toffoli as wellraty+2nd for toffoli?
what other prospects can vancouver give up besides lerramaki+walliner they are untouchables. raty? truscott.? kilmovich

If they're going to get something substantial, they're going to have to give something substantial...if they don't want to trade Willander or Lekkerimaki, the only thing of real value left is Hoglander and maybe possibly Pod.Y'all are high if you think they're trading hoglander.
Fourth in scoring, swede, playing on the first line.. ain't happening.

Hoglander has more value to us as he is on a cheaper contract next season and the team could be losing forward depth in being priced out of Joshua and/or Blueger. If they're going to get something substantial, they're going to have to give something substantial...if they don't want to trade Willander or Lekkerimaki, the only thing of real value left is Hoglander and maybe possibly Pod.
I doubt any of them is on the table, It's just not likely reality. If they're going to get something substantial, they're going to have to give something substantial...if they don't want to trade Willander or Lekkerimaki, the only thing of real value left is Hoglander and maybe possibly Pod.
I ain’t high, I just know he is likely never going to be a star player and if you can get a point at game player for a player that probably won’t average .5 points a game it may help your team.Y'all are high if you think they're trading hoglander.

I like Hoglander, and appreciate his value but he is the epitome of a one-dimensional forward...he's weak defensively, he doesn't PK, he's not really valuable on the PP. I think you sell high on him right now...if you can get a Buchnevich for him (obviously you need to dump Mikheyev or find some other way to make room) I think you make that trade everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.Hoglander has more value to us as he is on a cheaper contract next season and the team could be losing forward depth in being priced out of Joshua and/or Blueger.
If Tkachuk is on the table; ever asset we have outside of Miller/Demko/Hughes/Petey should be available. Someone like Hronek would have to wait until the summer (unless Zub comes back) but I would trade Lekk and Willander together for him with Hog.If Tkachuk is actually available, they should throw young assets at Ottawa to see if they can make it happen
As much as the Canucks have some exception unicorns on the team already, Tkachuk is in the JT Miller category of elite power forwards and is exactly who Pettersson needs as a long term line mate in order to take his game to the next level.
I personally don’t trade him for Buchnevich but the premise I agree with.I like Hoglander, and appreciate his value but he is the epitome of a one-dimensional forward...he's weak defensively, he doesn't PK, he's not really valuable on the PP. Possibly, I just think its going to be hard to get some of the bigger names without putting up a pretty big return....hope you're right.I doubt any of them is on the table, It's just not likely reality.
All swedes, we know the chef loves ikea meatballs, all cheap and looking like high value impact players, the only ones we have, and will need with the contracts we're about to have.
They've resisted trading hog at every turn for years, and now is finally taking the next step and playing top line productive minutes with the franchise Center they just signed..
Then they turn around and trade his young compatriot productive winger a week later for a seven or eight years older, eight times more expensive winger..?
Makes less than zero sense.
It's going to be Pod, raty, Karlsson, Klim , whoever else, all picks on the table.
