We cannot give up the blue and green because Seattle will pluck it away so fast.

I think the skate as an alternate is a happy medium ground. I too would like to see the white skate return.

But also the NHL should do more like other sports and allow for fun alternates to be worn every now and then, even if they're just a one off. The reverse retros were really nice (for us and a number of other teams; some sucked)

The skate itself is too ugly and cheesy to be the full-time look, IMO. It works as a throwback/retro aesthetic that's perfect for an alternate, though. I don't love the whale, but I don't think the skate is an upgrade on it.

This game should be interesting. For kings it’s a playoff tune up. For us my guess is this organization is going to look at it as a feel good game. Somehow treating it like a “see we beat them so we deserved to be in the playoffs over them” type moral victory that is actually quite the loser mentality if you think about it. But Russian Racket, Pastorz, and Logan 5 seem to be proponents of this type of moral victory.

Anyways, it should be interesting.

They look mediocre (YMMV) in white and great in black. Black as a 3rd isn't a bad idea, 3 different base colours in the sweaters (main, alt, 3rd).

The Kings have nothing to play for, they can't catch Edmonton (tie breaker) and Vegas can't catch them. I can see them just doing enough, resting players/ice time.

I don't think it will be viewed as tune up time for the Kings. I think it will be rest the older players time for the Kings.

Schenn needs 1 more point and he will have recorded his best offensive season in a decade. Wow.

OEL hitting 30 points and Pettersson also getting to 70 with Hughes would be great. Quite a few offensive milestones hit by the team this year despite everything that happened. Still hard to believe this is the first Canucks team with three 30-goal scorers in like a million years. Thought for sure that Daniel, Kesler, Burrows, Samelsson had at least one overlap year but they just missed it a couple times.

I can still enjoy beating a division rival (Kings tonight & Oilers tomorrow), even if it's a meaningless game. Do it for the fans in the arena, who've shown great support for the team after the Covid restrictions were relaxed.

Looking forward to seeing Spencer Martin get another win, and Miller getting 100 points.

If they can win the next two games this will be their best season as in 7 years (19-20 is 92.7 Pro-rated), or equal best if you want to round up.
