Curious to see how everyone would construct an All Star lineup from the 1990 season to the current one. The idea being to build a lineup assuming everyone is at their peak season during that timeframe. So longevity isn't important, but they can only play at the level they played at for your team.

My team:

Daniel Sedin - Henrik Sedin - Pavel Bure
Markus Näslund - Elias Pettersson - Alexander Mogilny
Trevor Linden - J.T. Miller - Todd Bertuzzi
Ryan Kesler - Bo Horvat - Alexandre Burrows

Quinn Hughes - Dan Hamhuis
Mattias Öhlund - Sami Salo
Alexander Edler - Christopher Tanev

Roberto Luongo
Jacob Markstrom

Sedin-Sedin-Mogilny
*Moginly is pretty underrated defensively and was such a smart player that he would feast off all the chances the Sedins would create

Sedin-Sedin-Mogilny
Miller-Kesler-Linden
Naslund-Pettersson-Bertuzzi
Burrows-Horvat-Bure

Hughes-Ohlund
Edler-Salo
Hamhuis-Bieksa

Luongo
Demko

Miller-Kesler-Linden
*the heavy line, lots of hits, anger, and size

Naslund-Pettersson-Bertuzzi
*this would be so much fun, Pettersson is skilled in so many ways and is equally adept at play making as he is at scoring while prime Naslund and Bertuzzi were damn near unstoppable

Burrows-Horvat-Bure
*Speed to burn with Burrows being the defensive conscious and forechecker

Hughes-Ohlund
Edler-Salo
Hamhuis-Bieksa
*Kept two of the must successful pairings together and while Ohlund is playing on his offhand, he'd still be the perfect compliment to Hughes

Luongo
Demko
*Luongo is one of the best goalies to ever play in the NHL and for the back-up I no problem going with many of the other options here but when Demko is on his game, he's a brickwall

I think this would do it for me except I like the idea of Mogilny with the Sedins. Bure is the most talented player to ever wear a Canucks jersey but I wonder how he would look with Miller and Kesler. Kesler might rag the puck too much but Miller is a great playmaker. And damn that's a feisty line.

Yes: although of course the Sedans and Bure together would be a great line, I'm not sure they would really complement each other that well. Better to spread out the talent down the lineup.

Yes, they really need to spread things out to compensate, because the, uh, Naslund - Pettersson - Mogilny line is just not a viable 2nd line.

Off ice issues aside, I think Mitchell is in the running to crack this roster.

Who was the better shut down defenceman in their prime - Tanev or Mitchell?

Maybe this should be in the unpopular opinions thread, but I've long considered Mitchell to be somewhat overrated due to him being very personable, a BC guy, and playing like a "good canadian kid" and all that. He was good at what he did, but was pretty one-dimensional and not necessarily as good at what he did as some folks seemed to believe.

Miller-Pettersson-Bure (Lotto line on roids)
Burrows-Kesler-Linden
Naslund-Ronning-Mogilny

Hughes-Tanev
Ohlund-Jovanovski
Edler-Salo

Feels really shifty leaving off Hamhuis, Bieksa, and Lumme.
