For me, the jury is still out on Peters, but one thing I can say for sure. Nobody can complain that when he brings players up, he doesn't give them a chance. For years, there were complaints about how we'd call a guy up and stick him on the 4th line.
Peters pretty much throws them to the wolves (McGinn get's on the 1st line, PDG get's top 9 minutes, Slavin, Hanifin, Pesce all play big minutes, Rask last year getting key minutes, etc..)
It might just be that he has more job security (ie.. Francis knows they are rebuilding, vs. other coaches felt they had to win), but it's refreshing none the less.
