I suppose Rod having a connection puts a premium on his hire-ability. Coaches need to work together and the season starts in a month. It certainly doesn't appear to be related to any success Muzzatti had at Michigan State. Michigan State's goalies have been among the worst in the NCAA while Muzzatti was goalie coach. Not that this necessarily relates to his coaching ability but it is the outcome in any case.
