LHD to play with Juulsen in Laval. Redmond and Taormina should be a solid PP duo for Laval too!

Hey, our minor league team might actually be good this year. Of course, we have next to no prospects down there for Lefebvre to grow into NHL players anyway so might as well sign some pros.

Holland, Froese, Audette is very good center depth. Now, we have Taormina, Redmond & Juulsen on D, so that's looking decent.

With Lindgren, Fucale & McNiven our goalie depth is solid.

A very good base. I wonder if one of Lefebvre's insistence on returning was for MB to give him a decent team for a change.

Another great pickup for Laval, plus with Taormina and Froese the best part about them is our AHL team doesn't have to face them anymore!

Leave it to Sly to find a way to keep his reputation intact you guys should be ashamed of yourselves.

This could be Carriere's doing. MB surely overseeing it all. But this could be what Lefebvre, Carriere, and MB decided the team needed particularly that they are closer to scrutiny, and it's possible Carriere got these deals done.

And Lefebvre has 2 years to prove he can get the job done. His extension is only for 2 seasons.

The guy has 9 lives. If his last 5 years weren't enough to get him fired, nothing else will.

Great MB signs 5 near NHL level of players for Laval. They make the playoffs this year. Syl keeps his job for 5 more years. This guy might even make it to the big team(mostly because we suck hard for Dmen on the habs now and any injury he could go up) -See SL developed this guy, great development guy !!!

*despite his rather good stats from Syracuse he will actually have a lower output with us*

Smart of MB to do that because it will turn a lot of teams off if he goes through waivers.

Froese is at 250K AHL salary and Peter Holland is at 300K.

Yeah, there was a piece about the Habs overpaying for their AHL players so as to make them less attractive if they need to waive them.

About Taormina, is he a potential NHLer or just AHL material?

Froese and Holland both get 350K to play in the AHL next year, Forese will get 650K in the AHL the following year and Holland will get 700K in the AHL the following year.

He's a very good AHLer, he's going to be 31 so what you see is what you get. He does have 59 NHL games under his belt so he could fill in for injuries if need be since you don't want to rush rookies like Juulsen/Bourque so even if they get hit hard with injuries they have a lot of depth in Morrow, Taormina, Redmond etc... But is a really nice pickup, 101 pts in the AHL the past 2 years, in 131 games.

What holds Taormina's game back from being NHL calibre?

He's right..

He's right? What in the world man? Give your head a shake!

You think Carriere is signing players without Bergevin's approval?

The only reason they decided to load that team it's because they moved to Laval and they need to sell tickets and create some hype and so on...
