Really the least interesting of all the preseason games.

I'm mainly interested in seeing where Scherbak, DLR, and Ouellet are at. Hopefully they can supplant some vets that need to be put out to pasture as soon as possible.

Also intersted to see what Armia can do.

These are good reasons to watch. I would also like to see a convincing performance from Price. The D tonight might be ugly

Another player that needs to stand out tonight is Hudon.

Hudon's an interesting player. Love everything about him except for his foot speed. I mean he often turns the puck over when in tight spaces or pressed when it can be avoided, but I think that will be corrected with time. It's the skating that I wonder if he'll ever be able to correct. I was just talking about this in another thread about Suzuki, but Gallagher was slow when he came into the league. He seems to have dramatically increased his speed by increasing his muscular power, particularly in his legs. His stronger, powerful legs allow him to generate a lot of speed. I hope Hudon is working on something similar. I think strong legs from a strong workout program are also what makes Subban a fast skater...

Looking at that lineup this is what we'll get on the opening night IMO:

Tatar-Danault-Gallagher
Drouin-Kotka-Armia
Domi-Peca-Lehkonen
Byron-Plekanec-Hudon

DLR and Scherbak as 13th and 14th forwards. Chaput and Agostino cut.

Switch Armia & Lehkonen IMO. Agree for the rest

I think they'll give Armia a chance on that line, they used him on that line the whole preseason if he doesn't show something after a couple of games Lehkonen or Hudon could take his place.

True. Either way, I’m fine with it. I’d prefer Lehkonen for his sniping abilities but Armia could open the ice
