The idea is to calm the game down(because usually the other team puts up good pressure after your goal). Your thinking as a coach isn't "lets go get another" but is more "let's try to keep the puck in the other end to counteract their push by putting players who are about energy and cycling"(which 4th line is supposed to be good at)..As you see right now our best players are being dominated..This isn't too difficult really, every single Leaf coach for the past 10-15 years has done..Wilson, Carlyle, etc. I guess they are all morons.
