TSN sure loves to have the Canadian games on at 6.

It is the best time to watch the game.

I prefer a little later at night.

Years ago, I was talking with someone associated with scheduling the WJR and he said TSN insisted on the early evening Canadian games.

They should. It is when they can draw the most people to advertisers.

Yes, the 9:30 game is a big draw, but not as remunerative as the 6:30 slot.
Are these posts talking 6:00 / 6:30 eastern time? (So 3:00 / 3:30 Pacific)
I’m not Canadian but I do live in the Pacific time zone. How do Canadians who are in this time zone feel about that start time?

TSN is also the reason this tournament is as big as it is. This tournament is their baby, they nursed it here in a Canada into the monster it has become. In the 80s, 90s and early 2000 this tournament had no fanfare outside of Canada and was barely hosted in North America. TSN is a big reason why it’s one of the better tournaments
