Considering he was just supposed to be a back up this year I’d say he has a legitimate shot.

I think Berniers has had this locked up since a Seahawk player won ROY in the NFL. Having the ROY awarded to a player from the same city in all three major sports in pretty major and gives the writers who vote on it something to write about.

Berniers is a good young player but he wouldn’t be too 3 most seasons b

Forwards always win over goalies and everyone's already decided that Beniers is going to win it. Trust the betting odds on this one.

The 1C center for the new franchise who centered the team to their first playoff, or a rookie who helped his team to get to no2 spot in western conf. Both are accomplishments.

Skinner also actually played all star game. Maybe Bernier did as well??
Didnt remember.

He was selected as an all star, but didn’t play because of injury. Chandler Stephenson from Vegas took his place.

Friedman said he deserves some votes as well. Went on to say that people have their pick earlier in the season and rarely sway from it even if another player comes a long. Basically saying they have their locked in answers so to speak. Voters are terribly biased and homers. Been that way for years for certain awards.

I think Bernier wins, but he should be No.2. The trophy is also based on future estimated impact as well..

So I think Berniers starpower is richer than Skinners.

Owen Power may should be a no 3 candidate.

He doesn't deserve it imo. Solid second which is great.

Skinner has meant more to the oilers than mattyb has to Seattle, but that's because a steady .915 is our holy grail. In the big picture Skinner isn't the best rookie imo. There is no scenario where anyone would trade mattyb for skinner at this point in their careers, but skinner stepping up has made a gigantic impact on the oilers season which can't be understated

Shows you how stupid having the media vote is, especially the dumb eastern US and Toronto media. Mind you the knobs out of California are just as stupid.

Yet panarin was a rookie???? Lolol 90 percent of voters on these voting ballots don't deserve a vote, And it will be come clear on this year's heart voting

Stay tuned folks.......

These awards are narrative driven.

Beniers being the top player on the league's newest team is just too attractive.

Plus even though what Stu has done is amazing, a lot of people picking will see that .911 and say it isn't all that great
