It’s actually a minor miracle that the team is somehow 14-11 through an insanely tough schedule with lots of injuries and only one reliable goalie. Especially considering they were one period away from being below .500 and spiralling into the abyss of 2017-2018 all over again.
Factoring in the issues with the team so far this season I would say it's mission accomplished to get to 14-11 at this point. We just needed to get through the slog of November with our heads relatively comfortably above water and we've done that.
We're in a position now to make up some ground in December here, but injuries are going to continue to make things difficult it seems. We'll likely still have to ride McDavid and Drai hard up front, but if we can make come incremental improvements in goal and on defense we should be able to go into Christmas in a comfortable standings position.
