Hall is not going to be an Av. Not because he wouldn't or doesn't want to but because Joe doesn't want him. Sakic values winning, playoff experience, and locker room presence.

Why Tatar?

Because he's a consistent 20 goal scorer signed for only 4.8m for 1 year (pretty ideal for our situation). He's also one of the best possession players in the entire league. Plus he's coming off a poor performance in the playoffs, so the price to acquire him might not be as high as it would otherwise be.
