It happens all the time in Basketball, diving/embellishing is common in most sports because it works. It's just embarrassing if you get caught.

He primarily played as a LW last year. He looked good when in the top 6 but struggled (like everyone else) when dropped into NJ's bottom 6. The team sees him as a C going forward and has him in the AHL learning the defensive side of C. But he'll likely be back as injuries strike or players move towards the deadline. Or when they need his playmaking, he offers something the team lacks.

The guy can score and spin on a 10¢, he just need a chance to prove himself. Until then yes, I'm guessing some work needs to be done in the AHL, but he's got the poise and the scoring touch the Devils will need from him along the way, but it could take another year or flirting around between the big league and the ahl. ;)

He had a pretty poor camp and preseason, so others made the team over him. He's got a ton of skill and good speed, so I'm sure he'll get a call up, but he needs more seasoning to be a full time, consistent NHLer.

He only got called up because of injuries last year, he could use some AHL time. He started off hot but then cooled down. He's playing RW now in Albany which is interesting since RW depth is the main weak spot on the NHL roster.
