how exactly can you play through a broken ankle is beyond me.

I think Alec Martinez did the same thing playing for Vegas during that 2020 playoff run to the semifinals.

Draisaitl, for example, also played with a torn syndesmosis ligament and put up insane numbers.
Chris Tanev had a torn shoulder ligament etc.

Hockey players are just nuts when it comes to playing with injuries.

It's a good value for his production, plus he's got a lot of speed which is always a bonus. We're gonna need that speed to score if Hakstol goes into a more defensive oriented system, which is what I expect. (Though I expected it last season too, lol.)
