Guy's like Danny DeKeyser could probably care less. Would you care if you made $30 million dollars over the next 5 years? You could just pay someone to steal the cup banner from the rafters of Joe Louis, and have enough left over to have hits put out on Brown, Rouse, and a couple of the other guys that didn't make $30 mil in their careers from that team. And that wouldn't cost you more than a years worth of wages!

At least Smith got beatdown. Maybe that puts him back on IR. He will have more time to negotiate his multi year deal that way.
