Oh it's Nevins, I love this deal now! I think he should take Mitchell's spot in the top 6, could provide an offensive punch.

I guess this is what happens when your GM publically states a month before the deadline that he'll trade all the UFA's no matter what the return, even a 6th or a 7th round pick.

Nevins is tough, rugged kid.12 scraps this year. Likes to hit, journeyman junior who worked hard to get deal. Like Dupuy, adds team tougness

Woof. 2016 7th rounder, Jack Nevins AND we retain 50% salary. I mean, I wasn't caring about return much, but that's downright dreadful..

From the player PR spin department... they did do what they could to get Mitchell to his hometown team.

i hope Nevins plays the rest of the year in Buffalo :)
Honestly I think he does. Guys like Matt Ellis and Jerry D'Amigo could accidently score. Nevins not so much. Time to call up Justin Kea too.

this lineup is about to get really young, we could use some more protection in the lineup.

Better stay in the d-zone too, no need to stray past the red line where you can get hammered.

The return is what it is. We traded Torrey Mitchell what else do u expect? The dude was a cap dump in the Moulson trade last year.

Nevins is signed for one more season after this year, with a $645k cap hit (note that he has bonuses in his contract as well). A two-way contract, of course, as it is an ELC. His waiver exemption expires following the 2015-2016 season.

If it was the first-tenure Nolan, then this kid comes up and rides shotgun for the rest of the season even if his skillset is completely limited. But this second tenure Nolan has been anything but a fan of pugilism.

I guess Murray heard us all beg for Mitchell to be traded for a "bag of pucks," because that's what he did. I'll take it but sheesh, a 7th rounder?
