I was skeptical about the whole thing myself, until I saw this one....

..that looks like it might hurt.

Pretty much thought the same thing when I saw that

Would really like to move on from Marchand.

It was a trip. Thankfully he wasn't injured.

I think so far the Bruins have looked good in games one and two but what concerns me is how easily they end up in their heels in the second and third periods. Some of that can be attributed to desperation by the other team but I would really like to see them play to win and rather than not to lose.

The other concern is how many if the odd man rushes and opportunities we are missing on.

Last night's game could have easily been a 5-0 game with some of the missed shots.

With the exception of that Detroit PP where Legwand missed an open net; was there any other instance that really worried you? Sure Helm hit the post on the SH bid, but they're shots were all from the side boards..nothing Rask couldn't handle.

Mostly getting a hit stuck in the zone.

Less of an issue yesterday but game 2 I never felt like that lead was safe.

I guess I just see them playing not to lose against a team that has some speed and skill.

Although I can also see to some degree playing not to lose being sound strategy in the sense of conserving energy for the rest of the series. Eg I can see with a 3 goal lead sending Chara and the top lines out a little less which may lead to some mismatches.

Jordan Caron can be my playoff 13th forward any day if he keeps playing like he has this series.

My take on that clip is that Marchand embellished by twisting himself, almost lunging forward after initial contact which resulted in him ending up in that awkward position. If that doesn't teach him not to do this kind of crap, who knows what will.

You're kidding. The guy's being blamed now for avoiding a knee-on-knee hit? :shakehead He should have LET Smith collide with his knee?

Who said he should have LET Smith collide with his knee? But, that's not the point anyway. Contact WAS made (and not to the knee). I am strictly talking post-contact. That clip clearly shows Marchand embellishing the collision post-contact but I know a lot of Bruins fans don't want to hear that.

his right skate hits the ground and then he lunges forward rather than falling naturally. it is what it is. i'm not downplaying that he then landed awkwardly after doing that. he's lucky he didn't do damage to himself.

Sorry, I wasn't aware that hockey players could control their trajectory mid-air while leaping to avoid a knee-to-knee hit. They're more talented than I thought.

In other news, looks like Zetterberg might be back soon. I can't see him being much of a factor with the long layoff and bad back. Hopefully Aflie is ready to go as well, it'll only help us :naughty:

I love how cocky scabs fans are getting, I want to crush their hopes and dreams.
