Also the sense of relief that Benning is gone is apparent.

The crowd tonight is reminiscent of the crowds we had from 2000-2015. Just lively.

Just makes you appreciate what Burke/Nonis/Gillis built from 2001-2013. Benning in 8 years couldn't come close to the success those 3 had. Infact this 2014-2022 Canucks era was the exact opposite of the Naslund/Sedin era.

Could it have been any more perfect?
- Man for man the entire roster was flying.
- Boeser, Pettersson, Horvat all finally getting on the board.
- The crowd into it for good reasons for the first time in years.
- A perfect PK with new faces, a powerplay that scored twice.
- Forechecking! Yes the Canucks forechecking. The rumors about it causing turnovers appear to be true.
- A Demko shutout.

It's like a dark cloud being lifted from this franchise.
