I can't wait for people to compare the belmont stakes which will probably have 50 THOUSAND people for the ENTIRE DAY, to Islander game traffic which will have 30 THOUSAND on a great night for half of the day. Because ya know, us Islander fans show up at 8-9AM for a December game vs the Coyotes, really causing a traffic headache.

I totally acknowledge traffic concerns are exaggerated but 20,000 people all at once can be worse than 60,000 people throughout the day on a Saturday. And although the islanders rarely sell out, concerts often do.

More like 90,000.

They've capped attendance in recent years to about 60,000 I think.
