Seems to be Fangio was pretty desperate for any HC job. Not that I blame him as I think he has earned a shot.

But with Elway in control(much less, giving him authority to pick YOUR staff) no longer looks like a good idea. Throw in the Chargers and Chiefs in your division and he'll last as long as Vance Joseph.

As for the hiring, I feel like "older defensive coach who has been around the league" is the hiring that generally works out the worst. Gary Kubiak is probably back coaching this team by the end of 2020.

Didn't need to wait until 2020 for this one to be wrong.

This never made sense at any rate. The guy won a Super Bowl as a head coach just 3 years ago. Why the hell would he want to be offensive coordinator?

I think he'd like to coach but his family doesn't want him to be a HC again because of the health scare he had. The thinking might be he could be an OC, which may not be as stressful of a job.
