Mixed feelings. Happy for him of course, he still has a passion for the game and it's great he can keep playing. But selfishly, it's going to look too weird :(

Obviously I'm rooting for him to do well, he's my favorite player to ever wear a Devils uniform and the best goaltender of all time in my opinion. Its going to be sad, in a way - to see him playing for another team, but Marty wanted a better end to his career and he has every right to give it one last shot.

Hope they win the cup. And I hope he shuts us all up.

Best of luck to him.

Woot! Good for him! Even if he is out of his prime, he has a GREAT team in front of him to pick up the slack unlike some other teams I can think of..

Leave it to the Isles to be in the midst of their best start in history as I try to get tickets for Saturday.

Happy he's in the West too, it would have sucked to see him on a team in our conference.

Maybe I'll pick up a Brodeur Blues t-shirt if they make them.

I never imagined Marty playing for a different team but now that it's here, it's all good. This does nothing to tarnish his legacy or his time with NJ. They moved on and he still wanted to play. More power to him. I still stand by my statement that he took way too much **** for NJ's poor results these last few years, so I'm really rooting for him. I hope he does really well as St. Louis has a solid team.

If any player deserves to go out a winner, it's him.

The Devils being so horrible has made me numb to everything....

Best of luck to Brodeur. Hope the Blues win the Cup!

What if he gets traded back to the Devils when Elliott comes back. Then the Devils let him finish his quest for 700?
