Nice move for Laval, was perfectly fine with the Habs letting him go as I didn't think he was worth an NHL contract slot but Laval definitely needs another C and it's nice to have it be a youngish guy who has some kind of potential instead of a career AHLer vet.

It's players on non-entry level NHL contracts that can't be assigned to the ECHL without their permission.

Hard to say, as this is the first camp for the new regime. Usually a couple are invited.
