Bounce back from what exactly?

17 straight 20 goal seasons...thats' pretty damn consistenet...and waht exactly have Doan or Bertuzzi done that require a selection over him?

He had 53 points and an awful playoffs in 03-04. Two years on from that at age 36, it's damn surprising that he's on a 35-40 goal pace again.

Again, Shanahan had two prior chances at the Olympics. He stunk in both of them. Struggles on international ice.

Bertuzzi outscored Shanahan comfortably in each of the three seasons prior to this year, and is only a couple points shy of him this year. And he can dominate and change games in a way Shanahan can't anymore.
