Tremendous job by Rutherford and co. here. Now just dump Kunitz and Lovejoy for futures and this off-season will be almost perfect.

I really like Clendening. Very underrated.

Wow. Unreal trade, and then we sign Fehr. I'm feeling better about this team now than I have been in a long time. It looks like we might not bring Sunqvist up this year, and I'm fine with that. This forward group is so damn deep it scares me.

Bonino is 2 season removed from 50 points. 40 last year on the Nucks.

JR is really securing defensive depth after last year. Lots of guys that are borderline NHL.

Love the upgrade from Sutter to bonino. And a better pick too. Wonderful

Perron - Crosby - Hornqvist
Plotnikov - Malkin - Kessel
Kunitz - Bonino - Bennett
Dupuis - Fehr - Sundqvist/Wilson/Rust

Bonino also plays a lot of PK minutes.

Man, if we didn't throw away Despres, JR's 1st year as GM would've been damn near perfect. We now have a formidable forward corps, top to botttom. If we can get the defense sorted out in the next year and find a way to dump Scuderi and Kunitz soon™, we'll be ****ing golden.

Not sure why, but I'd hate to see Plotnikov on the 4th line, but it may be the only place he fits

Bonino is a center, isn't he?

I would expect something like:

Perron - Crosby - Hornqvist
Plotnikov/Kunitz - Malkin - Kessel
Dupuis - Bonino - Fehr
Kunitz/Plotnikov - Sundqvist - Bennett

They wanted 4 scoring lines, they would have 4 scoring lines. The 3rd line would have three guys who can score between 15-20 goals. Nice.

To start off, it could be good for him. No pressure to produce. Just play his game and get used to the league. If he dominates he can move up. I'm just worried the fourth line in general won't get many minutes.

Damn. Full marks once again to JR and co. Really nice trade. And not just because I wasn't much of a Sutter fan. Getting Fehr makes this all the better.
