The thought of Marchand on the Habs made me chuckle. Thanks for the chuckle OP.
Why Montreal would do it?
Because I want to ice a Marchand - Shaw - Gallagher line.
For the lulz.
Why Boston would do it?
I don't know. You tell me!
What would be the price?
Fire at will.
P.S.: I know that the Habs are stacked on the wings and don't need Marchand, but really, I don't care.
I want a Marchand - Shaw - Gallagher line. I want to have some fun, if we are going to suck this year.
lol no these trades are exactly the trades you dont do as a rebuilding/retooling team. Stop with this madness, we dont want and cant afford marchand.
If you're going to use an old stale joke the least you could do is get the name right.and Michael ryder, Jaroslav havlok, and a second round pick
On second thought, high end wingers is exactly what the Canadiens are lacking. They should move their best trade chips for them....
...oh.
Habs 2018 first>Sergachev
I know I hated the trade, Drouin is going to be a soft 50 point winger PP specialist. As far as the pick I see the habs drafting at least in the top 5 which means they will get a better player than Serg. That's not true until we find out where that first actually is. But for a team that was awfully desperate in the summer for a top pairing LHD...
This the same Hab team that had Burrows, Lapierre, Gallagher, Subban and Shaw, lol , yeak ok.As a Hab fan, I don't want a Marchand style player on my team. I know he's learned to score, but to me he's still a piece of trash. The kind of guy the league would be better without.

When did that happen? This the same Hab team that had Burrows, Lapierre, Gallagher, Subban and Shaw, lol , yeak ok.

Ooops I was thinking of Riberio and his glorious flopping at centre ice. He looked like a fish out of water, funniest dive ever. Anyways he did mention players that the league would be better of without, Burrows would be front and centre. When did that happen?
I find it interesting that people are either laughing at OP saying he's delusional because we can't "afford" Marchand or are taking this seriously... OP clearly said that this was for fun/ as a joke/ to pass time.
No **** Marchand is not getting traded to Montreal. No **** Boston and Montreal will never trade anything between each other. This is PURE FANTASY. Lighten up...
As for this thread...
Unprotected 1st 2018 + Scherbak + Pacioretty + Price for Marchand + Rask + Chara + any cap dump
How? Sure, Marchand is better than Pacioretty but Price is better than Rask... then there's Scherbak is one of Montreals best prospects and then there's the unprotected 1st...If Boston is trading those pieces, it's for a rebuild. Not to acquire equally old pieces.
That deal arguably makes the Bruins worse, actually.

I hate this **** ***** so much I wouldn't take him for free.
"I know that the Habs are stacked on the wings and don't need Marchand"
Sarcasm?
Right.. He's small and doesn't speak french. Makes sense.
Did you see the part where Montreal gives the 2018 unprotected 1st + Scherbak? Or that they're taking Chara as well? That's two young prospects the Bruins are acquiring.............................Most teams, when moving older players, want to acquire younger players with potential. Not trade them for equally aged, similar value, players. Bruins don't need a shake up.
What the Bruins are doing seems to be working, so there's really no reason here.
