Probably depends most on which fanbase you're asking. Western fans other than Canucks fans likely say Perry, Eastern fans likely say Marchand.

Probably Marchand now but ask Sharks fans what they thought of Perry from 2008 until around 2012 (or maybe even later) at the height of his antics/dirtyness.

Now sure career its perry... perry has 6 years with 30 goals, compared to marchands 2. Perry has a 50 goal season, marchand hasnt hit 40 yet. Brad has 2 seasons over 60 points, and 1 over ppg, compared to perrys 6 60+ and 2 ppg seasons.

As for whos more despised, prob depends on who you ask.

I would classify Marchand as an a-hole, but Perry as a troll. Pick your poison, because I don't like Marchand and I don't think I'd like Perry if he wasn't a Duck.

Marchand. Perry is a pest but not really a super dirty player - more like a player that gets a bit over the line sometimes. Marchand is legit dirty.

Are two of my favourite players in the league.
Neither is overly dirty - but being able to push another pro's buttons in this day and age to the level they constantly can is Amazing!

Your opinion is tainted by Dotchin. Marchand is a pest. Pests occasionally cross the line.

Dirty players are Cooke, Torres, etc in the recent era. Pacquette looks to be a turd himself.
Brad Marchand - Wikipedia

Marchand's list of foul play includes a two-game suspension for elbowing R. J. Umberger in March 2011; a $2,500 fine for slew-footing Matt Niskanen in December 2011; a five-game ban for a predatory low-bridge hit on Sami Salo in January 2012; two games for slew-footing Derick Brassard in January 2015; and three games for clipping Mark Borowiecki in December 2015. In February 2017, the league docked Marchand $10,000, the maximum allowable amount per the collective bargaining agreement, for a dangerous trip of Detroit Red Wings defenceman Niklas Kronwall.[2] In April 2017, Marchand was handed another two-game suspension for spearing Tampa Bay defenceman Jake Dotchin, marking the fifth time Marchand has been suspended for dirty and dangerous play.

Five suspensions and numerous fines. He's dirty.
