I'm going to be watching this in my newly made Carolina-shelter. Staal and Ward were bad enough, now Semin joins the team?! They just need Vanek and we'll have to forfeit every game...

In all seriousness, they're a much more serious threat this year. They got four wins out of us last year, but these games are important now, they're a legit playoff threat. As long as they make the playoffs, they're a Cup contender... The first goalie that comes to mind when I think of what Thomas did in 2011 is Ward. Staal can go absolutely beast mode, too. The additions of Skinner (since the last time they made the playoffs) and Semin makes their offense lethal, even more so when all of them are Bruins killers. A win is definitely possible, but I expect a close one.

EDIT: I forgot, they signed Corvo. This should be the easiest 6 points of the season. :sarcasm:

I did this regularly a couple of years back. After one class, my professor approached me (I thought I was in trouble) and asked me how I was able to stream the game to my computer because he wanted to be able to do the same for when he traveled. :D

I love a good Bruins - Whalers(ahem) Hurricanes matchup. The Bs look good so far, and I think they can keep it going. Sucks about the long layoff. Ever since the Pats lost last Sunday, the Bs have been keeping me from dwelling on it.

Let's go brooons

couple of mildly interesting stats so far

the third line is a combined minus 8 and has certainly been our overall weakest line thus far

Tyler Seguin, despite fighting it a bit and only putting up one assist so far, still leads the team in +/- with +4. Patrice Bergeron by comparison has 2 points (1 g 1 a) and is only +2

I hope they start Khudobin, he needs to be fresh and I always thought Carolina wasn't a great team for Tuukka...that said, we might see them in the playoffs so either way Tuukka would have to play them

despite the above stat thoughts, the B's still have taken 7 out of 8 possible, and have looked down right sloppy at times.

If the passes start clicking more consistently and Seguin heats up...look out. Something tells me this team will heat up at the correct time.

I say Rask gets this one.. then khudobin gets the start vs nj

Other way around in my opinion. Devils have not dropped a game yet and at least so far, are one of the teams vying for first in the conference.

It's not a huge difference this early in the season but I imagine Claude will put Tuukka up against the better team in this back to back.

Although, he may opt to play Tuukka right away versus Carolina in order to give him an extra day off leading up to Buffalo on Thursday. Hmm.. *strokes beard*
