Weird - I knew that MTL and VAN would be trouble cities in terms of getting local authorities on board. I guess they’re banking on VAN fixing any issues faster than MTL?


Schedule is pretty much what I thought it would be for us - basically two-in-rows save a few NYC area games. Don’t care much about back-to-backs, as it should be rested vs rested and tired vs tired most of the time.

Any news on starting times? Bruins better not go the way of the Sox hand have 7:30 starting times. I’m getting too old for this!!

It really sucks that this season is only divisional. Not playing the Leafs and Habs all year is wicked disappointing. But considering the Canadian teams may be stuck in Canada I mean what else were they gonna do...

It will be interesting come deadline day. Will the Canadian teams be able to trade with the American teams.

Curious on how that will work. Hopefully by then all is well and good and there be no worry but if not I wonder how it would play out.

Most restful stretch of Bruins schedule:

• March 21st through April 4th = 6 games in 15 days. Bruins will remain in Boston for all 15 days. No back-to-backs.

Busiest stretches in Bruins schedule:

• January 26th through February 15th = 12 games in 21 days. Includes 2 sets of back-to-backs.
• April 16th through May 8th = 13 games in 23 days. Includes 2 sets of back-to-backs and this stretch of games leads directly into the playoffs.

No excuses, as the schedules are tightly packed for all teams, but this could be brutal.

Wouldn’t the Bruins or Sabres be a better choice in terms of geography and rivalries? Unless JJ is holding out hope that fans will be allowed in his building this year and doesn’t want his team trapped north of the border away from the Garden.

I’m sure Florida will play in front of more people in Canada than at home, so this is probably just another attempt by the NHL to prop up a failing franchise.

That’s what I thought, but I swear that when I looked at the divisional groupings on this Forum’s main page, Detroit and Florida were in the North.
