Sorry to be negative but given the stretch of games we're about to play and the sheer volume of injuries, I'm not sure we can recover from this if it's worse.

I love Bob, and I'd put noone else in there over him, but I'm not that worried about the next 5 games. Bob hasn't hit his stride yet this season imo, and we're 4-4 with a the toughest road trip in the league behind us. He's been good, but he hasn't stolen any games yet for us. All we need is reliable backup goaltending for 2 weeks.

I recently fractured my finger - it's been 3 weeks, still painful. Was told 4 to 6 weeks to recover fully (Bob's fracture may be different though).

"Stretch of games" = Ottawa, Toronto, NJ, and Carolina twice? Not exactly murderer's row. CMac should be ok.
