Rescheduling should be extended to all teams if it’s covid related.
I'd imagine that would be the case for a significant outbreak, but probably not an option for a player or two going on the list like this, especially with most American teams having vaccinated players and staff

we should also reschedule the wild/knights series. it only fair since the league did it twice for colorado.

St. Louis reserve forward Nathan Walker and defenseman Jake Walman also are in protocol.

ya league shutdown our entire division for 2 players for the Avs a month ago. we got 3 so its time to shut down the west playoff picture.

only fair afterall. we dont want a narrative forming that the league favors a certain team.

This is pretty unbelievable. For us to get a season whipped out right before the playoffs when leading the conference. Then to have a half season start in January with no fans and be a complete sheet show with scheduling, cancelations, and boring matchups over and over (Coyotes 7x in a row). Yet the Blues somehow managed to be what felt like the only team to not have anyone test positive for covid all season but had to play on with half of their roster injured.

To finally get healthy and roll into the playoffs with a ton of momentum (Blues attendance increase approved).......we have one of the biggest surprises (in a good way) Wallman get Covid on Monday and then our leading point producer/core leader test positive!!!

At this point if they aren’t going to reschedule the 1st round, then this should be up to the player/team on what to do.

Is it safe to assume Perron was vaccinated (and Walman)? It appears the NHL protocol lumps everyone, vaccinated or not, into the same category. But the data show that vaccinated people have virtually no transmission of the virus to others. If Perron is asymptomatic and just had a positive screening test, it’s kind of ridiculous to lose him for the series. If the Blues’ competitive chances are hurt significantly by this unscientific protocol, it will just be about par for the course. Hopefully there is a path for Perron to get back on the ice quickly.

Im just waiting to hear a handful more Blues are out due to contact tracing.

just remember this for when the avs go down in a series. as soon as they get 1 positive covid player the league will postpone the series. pathetic pandering towards a kitten soft franchise.

we got 3 players with it, more than they had last month when they postponed the entire division for a week.

Man why would you say that. We just beat them twice and we are fully healthy
Well they didnt have all the players healthy at that time.

I just dont see we have chance with this squad. Hope I'm wrong.

Hopefully that path for Perron getting back quickly is a number of subsequent negative tests rather than the prior guidelines before vaccination that required 10-14 days of quarantine. If he was vaccinated and resolves the virus quickly, he should be able to play as soon as he has 2-4 negative results.

Right now I'm remaining hopeful in that no news from the NHL or Blues saying Perron is in fact positive, is good news. I think if there is no update directly saying he has it, it could be the best case scenario in that it is contact tracing related and maybe he only misses Game 1.

This is ridiculous! I am assume all players have been vaccinated right? Its probably a false positive. And even if he not these athletes know their bodies the best whether or not the feel like playing or not.

So we don't have any more info on this Perron thing? Is it like full blown COVID or he feels fine and tested positive?

Was he vaccinated? What do we know?
