He has been a pleasant surpriselooking forward to seeing kessels development next season.

That's what I was thinking. Once his feet get to NHL level, he's going to be a force. This may be the most excited I've ever been for a Blues goalie prospect.Hofer channeling his inner Binnington at TD Garden tonight.
He’s going to be a very good goalie for a long time.
Hofer, Kap, Hayes were the Boston choices in that order.I don't know who all the stars should be, but I thought Kapanen earned the #1 star tonight.
Today is Bobby Plager's Birthday. 5 for #5 You can still be sentimental.I kind of wish we hadn’t scored that empty netter so we could all enjoy a sentimental 4-1 victory in that building.
Indeed.Bolduc made some good plays and played with determination.
Kessel > Perunovich
I think they are just trying to hit that RFA status so he can't walk for nothing.Indeed.
I don't like Scandella scratched in favour of Perunovich. I might be reading too much into it, but I am starting to think that the organisation is determined to make him a permanent roster player. Like they are doubling down.

Consistency.9 games in a row for Schenn not getting a point
That's surprising to me. I thought last night was a lot of "Boston did a bunch of stuff, didn't do anything particularly dangerous; St. Louis did a little bit of stuff but was ruthlessly efficient" but even at being outshot 37-22, outattempted 63-41 I thought the Bruins had a lot of bad-angle shots that were 0.01 xG, 0.02 xG variety. The xG tonight was 3.97 for Boston and 2.55 for us.
Boston had a 5v5 high danger advantage of 17-8 according to natural stat trick. That's surprising to me. Yeah, I noticed that kind of stuff. I'm just saying when I watched last night, I felt like they did a lot of passing and skating behind and around the net, but it never set up that many good shots and it really did set up that many really good shots.Boston had a 5v5 high danger advantage of 17-8 according to natural stat trick.
Schenn’s pointless streak is at 9 games
Look, you can't judge him on his $6.5 million remaining cap hit for the next 4 years by what he does on the score sheet or even his play on the ice. At this point, it's all about the intangibles he brings to the team.Consistency.
i wonder who signed him to that contract. wonder if it was the same guy who signed krug and kyrou as well.Look, you can't judge him on his $6.5 million remaining cap hit for the next 4 years by what he does on the score sheet or even his play on the ice. It would not surprise me to see them try to move Krug again in the offseason with the Cap significantly increasing and then Keeping Peru as a sheltered bottom Pairing/7th d-man PP specialist.Assuming he hits that and stays an RFA, how do we get that not nothing out of him when he's worthless? It's like saving all the lint in your pocket in a big ball of lint, because you don't want to throw it away for nothing, but also nobody wants a worthless ball of Perunovich..I mean, lint.
