Yup. Offside would've had no impact on the goal. Cbus even got possession and had a chance to clear. Terrible rule.

I don't see how offsides can be reviewed. Caps didn't score on a offsides - they scored after CBJ turned it over. Rule should be once another team gets possession you shouldn't be able to challenge a possession before that. That's too much.

10 second window. If a goal is scored within 10 seconds of zone entry and there's question about offside violation, you can challenge. Yes it's arbitrary but that's better than what we currently have. 10 seconds is plenty of time for a defense to regroup.

And if they're going to make Offside reviewable despite having linesmen specifically there to make the call then why shouldn't ANY call be reviewable?

Haha. Make to many men on the ice reviewable. Just think how many goals would be taken away on BS challenges.

Penalties especially. Those are calls that should be able to be reviewed. A blown call can be huge. 2 minutes for blown calls happens way too much.

Despite scoring the same number of goals I thought the Capitals looked much better that period. Had some more possession and the Jackets didn't really have any grade A chances.

Burakovsky is so strong with the puck. It is pretty amazing to see. They can't get the puck off him. It's not just this game.
