And I’ve read elsewhere we’ve replaced MacIver with three assistant general managers so it might be a promotion. Or a totally lateral move with a nonsense job title change.

So, what to make of those changes? It appears to be a demotion for Maciver. He was previously listed as one of six people in the Blackhawks ownership and executives section and is now the sixth person under hockey operations and scouting. It looks like Davidson, Eaton, Stewart, Doneghey and Facca got promotions. Gauthier, Smith and Anderson appear to have more part-time roles.
