Bergevin strikes me as the type of GM who would have success on a team that needs tweaking, that's already got a solid and established base of prospects & current NHL talent.

Not a builder, but a good remodeler.

Not sure if that applies to the current state of the Canucks though.

Isn’t that exactly what he had here before he burnt it down to the ground between 2016 and 2017? He did add some nice pieces to those teams like Vanek and Petry, but he never addressed glaring holes. He was to busy dumpster diving for the Mitchell’s, Flynn’s, King’s, Martinsen’s, etc of the world. Before last years playoff run, pretty much all the success of the team came from players he inherited when he got here.

What do you think Roy does the first time Gorton disagrees with him and goes the other way?

He will leak it to TVA to put pressure on Gorton.

Roy's chances were slim but they're probably closer to none now.
St Patrick will never work again in the NHL in any leadership capacity (head coach, GM) - he has been unofficially blackballed

You don’t f*ck over Kroeneke & Sakic without consequences…
