I think you're right. That or Kiarostami's And Life Goes On (if you consider it a sequel). Before Sunset.
From the listed movies I'd probably pick Blade Runner 2049.

From the horror genre, I like Dawn of the Dead and Amityville II: The Possession.
From the list, Blade Runner is probably the better choice.
Agreed, The Godfather movies fall into the category for me of movies that are really good but also overrated. Part 1 and 2 are often listed amongst the greatest films of all time. Goodfellas is a better gangster filmThe godfather 2.... followed by T2.
The godfather movies I find you have to be really in the right mode to watch, but T2 is a movie I can and did and do watch regularly.
Goodfellas is terrific (although I'd say Casino is just as good, it just came out afterwards), but The Godfather films are in a class by themselves. They're longer, more complex, and are more dialogue-heavy than a typical gangster film, so I get why some people don't have the appetite or time to fully appreciate them. But there's a good reason why they're ranked where they are.Agreed, The Godfather movies fall into the category for me of movies that are really good but also overrated. Other: Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan
Perhaps too successful, since moronic showrunners keep trying to repeat the concept in Star Trek.
Star Trek II and Toy Story 2 are fantastic choices. Both were massive leaps over the first films. Wrath of Khan scraped the stodgy rust off Star Trek, the Motion Picture, and found the classic chemistry of the TV show. The original Toy Story was clever and fun, but the sequel was so much more, with a truly great story behind it.Toy Story 2 and 3 were both excellent. Spiderman 2 (with Toby McGuire) was also great.
Think I'd have to go with The Dark Knight though.
I agree, I hope the sequel poll will be better.Deadpool's reaction upon reading the options listed in the poll...

Did you just imply that Aliens was better than Alien? Can someone show this gentleman the door, please?I'd also add, more for the general contention that sequels are always worse, the following:
Top Gun Maverick
Aliens
Mad Max: fury road (basically a reboot though)
Spiderman 2
Toy Story 2
The Dark Knight
Logan
Mission Impossible(s) 4-6
Guardians of The Galaxy 3
Captain America 2
Avengers 3
Probably others.
Before Sunset.
From the listed movies I'd probably pick Blade Runner 2049.
