The only players as of right now that are playing like they should have been picked in the first round is J Markstrom, and P Wiercioch.

I've heard that Detroit prospect Gustav Nyquist (4th round, #121 overall) is doing great in his first year with University of Maine.

The homer in me says TJ Brodie and Mitch Wahl are looking like a couple of good picks so far.

Kugryshev's been doing great for the Remparts, not sure if he's standing out or not but he's definitely looking like a good pick.

There's a Denver fan in the Senators Prospect area that got us really, really excited about this guy. One of the best he's ever seen he was saying.

But yes, solid point (I like Z.Smith, Petersson and Sandin as well). :)

^^ (at Ellis) 29 points in 24 games, last I checked. Including 16 goals.

I think it's certainly Markstrom, Grachev and Wiercioch for the win here.

Hopefully that source is accurate though!

Kirill Petrov was an Isles 3rd round pick. He is said to have gone top 5 if his contract status was known. Also, Travis Hamonic is sadi to have a quality future at the point. He might be on the Canadian WJT this year

I know they Hitmen are a very good team, but I'd say Michael Stone....he's big and has been putting up the points....wish the wild would have gotten their hands on him.
