As mentioned in the last thread, there was some obvious miscommunication between, me and the rest of yous.

The purpose of this thread to find the player who was the most successful while wearing the specific number. They must have played with that number for 4 or more years.

Ranking are top 3s. They are based on votes, players without votes are not added.

Gotta go Sundin here but Datsyuk is a fine alternative.

Options for #13
Mike Cammalleri
Pavel Datsyuk
Johnny Gaudreau
Bill Guerin
Vyacheslav "Slava" Kozlov
Ken Linseman
Mats Sundin
Ray Whitney

#0 and #00 were skipped, we can do them last if it is in demand.

Why would anyone even choose this number? It's like the edgy dude ugly number to pick.

Why would anyone care which number a player chooses to pick? :dunno:

Why would anyone not care?

Picking a number is a deeply spiritual activity, and the digits you present to the world. How is that not important?

Wow, Datsyuk is really overrated in here, and Sundin clearly underrated because of the weak Toronto in his prime.
IMO Sundin was better than Datsyuk, also considering international games.

This is easy Sundin, more points better p/gp and much better post season and international play. Also while carrying the Leafs on hes back for a decade, Datsyk was good but not close.

I best remember Guerin from the Devils, his longest tenured team, where he was #12, and won a Cup with them.

Sundin doesnt have a stretch in his career close to Datsyuks run from 2005 to 2009. Sundin was solid defensively but hes being compared to one of the greatest two way players ever. Playing longer doesnt change how much better Datsyuk was at his best and hes winning this poll accordingly.

Yup there was a time when some coaches were saying on camera that Datsyuk was playing like the best player in the world. Sundin never got that good.

Well playing longer with better ppg and much less support is definitely an argument in my book.

Sundin is actually a carrier point per game player witch Dats isn't. During that period you mentioned Dats had 1,1 ppg well thats .... not mind-blowing ... Also best ppg on the red wings during the period was zetterberg with 1.23

Carlo Colaiacovo said Mats Sundin was Best Player he Ever Played with and Shares GREAT Story - YouTube
