Don’t get me wrong, I gave Crosby the benefit of the doubt this season. He was pulling away from the pack before injuries and no one IMO had a more significant season than him. But you have to understand that’s it’s still a half season and a lot of people won’t agree with it regardless of how well he did.

So no, I never distorted anything. Try again bud.

Even then, it’s a myth that he was pulling away from the pack.

Not including his final game of the season when it happened, during his previous 10 games from 12/11/10 through 1/1/11, Crosby had 6 goals and 15 points in 10 games.

Henrik Sedin had 6 goals and 18 points in 10 games.

Stamkos had 9 goals and 15 points in 10 games.

Daniel Sedin and St. Louis also had 15 points in 10 games.

Zetterberg had 16 in 11.

Just more fabrication and prisoners of the moment falsely remembering what happened years after the fact. His 25 game heater made people think he was actually going to pot 65 and score 135 points and that no one else was in league at any point during that season.

You gotta be kidding me. 51,45,60 is inconsistent from your 2nd to 4th seasons.

Okay…. Have a nice night.

Are we using time travel here? Still trying to figure out how what Stamkos did in the future had any relevance to the fact that he was still clearly inconsistent in his age 20 season.

More importantly the point still eludes you entirely. People are using Stamko's half-season not his ENTIRE SEASON, as a projection for what would have happened to peak Crosby the rest of the way.

You are arguing with yourself here.

Sedin won the Art ross with 104 points so all Sid needed to do if he was healthy was score 38 points in 41 games, a level he had never played so low at before.

Also Crosby only had 6 games where he didn't score a point in those 41 games so you are taking 2 of those 6 games in your sample to prove what exactly?

The Art Ross winner had 18 of his 82 games where he didn't score a point and he was plying all those games with his twin brother who won the Art ross the previous season.

like others have said up thread the eye test showed that Crosby was reaching another level that year then injury struck he wasn't just on some 25 game heater, in the previous 5 season sample he scored at a 1.36 PPG rate in a very large sample so what are you even talking about here anyways?

Just what exactly do you feel you're accomplishing by being this intellectually dishonest?

Intellectually dishonest is ignoring durability as a virtue.

Of course, Crosby fans realize this which is why they have to invent bs claims about Crosby's injuries being super duper special and exceptional, whereas every other player has regular injuries that actually count.

Price did have slightly better stats in that series (0.934 sv% to 0.926 sv%), but still lost. Thomas did go on to win the Smythe, Vezina, 1st AST, and 5th in Hart voting. In his remaining playoff games that season Thomas had a 0.945 sv% with 4 SO. So its interesting to pick out his 2nd worst series as some indictment. He also spotted a 0.967 sv% in the finals, allowing just 8 GA in 7 games.

Thomas in 2011 was the best goalie season of the cap era IMO, better than Prices 2015 year.
Thomas had so much more support than Price did though. Defensively the Bruins were terrific.

Rent Free Forsberg and the idea of best player in the world doesn't suddenly disappear when an injury occurs but keep doing you, your agenda is quite clear here and textbook intellectual dishonesty.
